How alkaline ionized water is produced? What is the step by step process?
The Alkadyn Ionizer is a compact appliance that quickly connects to your kitchen tap. The water that the ionizing water purifier outputs are 'split' into two forms: 'alkaline' and 'acid'.
àIn the alkaline case, it is alkaline because it is loaded with enormous amounts of negatively charged hydroxyl ions.
àIn the acid water case it is highly oxidative water, and therefore, acidic.
Connecting directly to your faucet, a water ionizer uses a two step process.
Filtration: Silver-coated activated carbon
The first task is to filter out harmful components of the water: chlorine, sediment, odor, taste, organic waste, and bacteria of all kinds. The Alkadyn achieves this by the use of a multistage 1 micron activated carbon filter.
Electrolysis (ionization): An electric current flow through FOUR platinum baked titanium electrodes which then splits the water into 2 streams:
This 'splitting' of the Water (H20) molecule happens in a sealed ionization chamber within your Alkadyn Ionizer, under the precise control of a dedicated microcomputer, which will ensure the exact result. In this process, it will reduce the molecule cluster size, binding extra oxygen molecule and concentrating alkaline minerals. As filtered tap water passes across 4 specially designed Titanium electrodes, it separates the raw tap water into the main elements of water, that is:
1. OH- Consists of one atom of Oxygen and one atom of hydrogen negatively charged - the Hydroxyl ion. This is the alkaline water that we drink and our body love.
2. H- One atom of Hydrogen. This is the molecule in the acidic water we use externally and for germicidal cleaning.
Positively charged ions gather at the negative electrode to create “reduced water”, which concentrates available alkaline minerals, such as calcium, magnesium and potassium from the source water. This alkaline ionized water is drawn for drinking and cooking, through the main stainless steel spout.
Negatively charged ions gather at the positive electrode to make “oxidized” water, which concentrates acid minerals such as nitrates, sulfides, chlorides, and fluorides from the source water. This acid ionized water has numerous of external uses. It is discharged into the sink.
The electrolysis (ionization) is a process to separate between alkaline and acidic water.A range of pH settings from neutral to very alkaline or very acid is available at the touch of a button. The electrodes are cleaned in an automatic cleaning cycle called ‘backwash’, where the electrode will produce a reverse charge than its original, for couple of minutes. This will ensure the longevity of the titanium electrodes
